    What they do

Adhikar was established in 1991 by Mohammad Nooruddin Amin to work with slum dwellers of Bhubaneswar, especially women and children, facing social and legal discrimination and poor living conditions. It now runs skill development, water and sanitation, livelihood restoration, disaster response and safe-migration support programmes across aspirational districts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Assam and West Bengal. It also helped set up Migration Support Centres in partnership with a state rural livelihoods mission to support workers migrating for employment.
