    What they do

    Chandigarh Spinal Rehab, run by the Sai Aasra Paraplegic Rehab Centre trust, is a rehabilitation centre in Sector 28-A, Chandigarh for people with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, stroke and other neurological conditions. It describes itself as North India's first standalone, dedicated rehabilitation centre of its kind, founded in 2016. Its programme combines medical care, physiotherapy, vocational training and socio-economic reintegration support, and it reports having rehabilitated more than 850 people since founding, with a substantial share of the care provided free of cost.
