What they do
Deshaj Pratisthan is a society registered on 19 December 2013 in Silvassa under the Societies Registration Act 1860, with registration number 20/DP/2013. It runs Vasundhara Vidyapeeth, an English medium school with a hostel in Parzai village about 28 km from Silvassa, which teaches children from the tribal families of the surrounding area. The school reports roughly 100 students, of whom about 25 live in its hostel, and was started in July 2012 by residents of Parzai before coming under the society. In 2023 the organisation received the Sant Eshwer Sewa Samman, an award given by the Sant Eshwer Foundation for social service and inclusion.
