    Goonj is a society headquartered in New Delhi, founded in 1999 by Anshu Gupta and Meenakshi Gupta, that collects underused urban clothing and other material and channels it into rural development and disaster relief work through a cloth-for-work model. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act and holds 80G, 12A and FCRA status, and it reports sending material to communities across roughly 23 to 25 Indian states. Anshu Gupta received the 2015 Ramon Magsaysay Award for this work.
