    What they do

Prayas JAC Society is a New Delhi based society working on child protection, juvenile justice, and rehabilitation of at risk children and women. It was founded in 1988 by former police officer Amod K. Kanth after a fire destroyed a slum settlement of street children in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. The organisation runs shelters, schools, and vocational skilling programmes, headquartered in the Tughlakabad Institutional Area of New Delhi, and has extended its work to several other states including Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha.
