    What they do

    Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS) is a society registered in 1981 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, originally as Rayalaseema Seva Samithi and renamed in 1998 as it expanded beyond the region. It runs a Krishi Vigyan Kendra for agricultural extension, low cost sanitation programmes, women's welfare through Mahila Mandals, and early childhood and non-formal education centres, working from Tirupati, Kadapa, Anantapur and Visakhapatnam and with smaller programmes at Tiruttani in Tamil Nadu and Nandapur in Odisha. It was founded with the support of N. G. Ranga and was led for four decades by G. Muniratnam.
