    What they do

Salaam Baalak Trust is a Delhi-based trust registered under the Indian Registration Act, 1908, established in December 1988 by Sanjoy Roy and Praveen Nair using proceeds from the film Salaam Bombay! to support street and working children. It runs 24-hour residential care homes, outreach contact points, education support, counselling and a City Walk heritage-tour programme staffed by former street children, mainly in the Delhi-NCR area around New Delhi Railway Station and Paharganj. It serves around 10,000 children a year through seven residential homes and ten day-care centres.
