Timbaktu Collective is a society registered in 1990 that works on ecological restoration and rural livelihoods in the drought prone Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai districts of Andhra Pradesh. Its programmes include organic farming and farmer producer support through Dharani, women's savings and credit cooperatives through Swasakthi, and restoration of common land and wilderness through Kalpavalli, reaching about 48,000 families across 347 villages.
