    What they do

    The Vindhyan Ecology and Natural History Foundation (VENHF) is a registered non-profit based in Mirzapur, founded in 2012 by Debadityo Sinha, Shiva Kumar Upadhyaya and Ajai Swamee. It carries out wildlife research and conservation, environmental advocacy and research-based litigation, focused on the Vindhya range, the Gangetic plains and Ganges river conservation. Its flagship Vindhya Bachao Abhiyan campaign documents human-wildlife conflict, including sloth bear conservation, and works with partners such as WWF-India and the Wildlife Trust of India.
