What they do
Athrout is a Srinagar-based charitable organisation, started in 2010 by a group of young volunteers, that provides free 24/7 ambulance service along with OPD, dialysis and diagnostic care to underserved patients across the Kashmir valley. It also runs disaster and emergency relief, education support and child sponsorship programmes, and monthly financial and household assistance for poor families, including Ramzan, Eid and winter relief kits. The organisation holds 80G tax-exemption status and reports supporting tens of thousands of people annually.
