Child In Need Institute (CINI) is a Kolkata-based NGO founded in 1974 by paediatrician Dr Samir Chaudhuri to work on child and maternal health, nutrition and protection. It runs community health, nutrition, child protection and adolescent programmes across West Bengal and Jharkhand. CINI partners with UNICEF, Save the Children and other international agencies and has received India's National Award for Child Welfare more than once.
