What they do
Gyan Vigyan Samiti Bihar is the Bihar chapter of the national Bharat Gyan Vigyan Samiti literacy movement, registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 28 January 1996 and based in Patna. It works on adult literacy, scientific awareness, health and hygiene education, and self-help group development across the state. Together with partner Rainbow Home India it runs residential care and education for formerly street-connected children, currently supporting around 50 children in Patna. The organisation traces its roots to the national Gyan Vigyan Jatra literacy campaigns of the early 1990s.
