What they do
Jal Bhagirathi Foundation was formed as a public trust on 15 January 2002 to address the water crisis in the Thar Desert region of Marwar, western Rajasthan, with the involvement of the former royal family of Jodhpur and water conservationist Rajendra Singh. It works on reviving traditional water-harvesting structures such as johads, nadis and tankas, watershed development, and water-linked rural livelihoods. Its administrative head office is in Jaipur, with a water resource centre near Jodhpur.
