What they do
National Youth Project - AP is a youth organisation based in Itanagar, established in 2009 by H.P. Biswas after he worked with the Gandhian social worker S.N. Subba Rao. It runs skill training centres, entrepreneur development programmes and youth camps, and states that it trained around 85,000 unemployed young people, farmers and members of women's self help groups between 2009 and 2018. Its projects include promoting alternative livelihoods such as replacing opium cultivation with cardamom farming. It also operates a residential school at Munshipara in West Bengal.
