    What they do

RIWATCH is a cultural research institute established in 2009 at Khinjili near Roing in the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh. It runs an ethnographic museum, a Centre for Mother Languages and a Centre for Intangible Cultural Heritage that document the indigenous languages and traditions of the state's tribal communities, including a language documentation project at Ziro. Its Arogya Panchakarma and Wellness Centre conducts free medical camps in nearby villages, and the institute hosts research fellowships and academic collaborations with universities in India and abroad. A managing council led by chairman Joram Begi and secretary and executive director Vijay Swami governs it.
