    What they do

Nidan is a Patna-based organisation founded in 1996 that works with informal-sector workers such as street vendors, waste pickers and domestic workers. It runs the Chakachak Patna door-to-door waste collection programme and has taken part in policy advocacy that contributed to India's Street Vendors Act. Nidan also has an office in New Delhi and works on financial inclusion and livelihood support for the urban poor. Its founder, Arbind Singh, also leads the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI).
