    What they do

Panjab Digital Library (PDL) is a heritage preservation organisation that locates and digitises rare manuscripts, documents, photographs, coins and artefacts connected to Punjab and Sikh history. It was founded in Chandigarh on 20 April 2003 by Davinder Pal Singh and is run under the Nanakshahi Trust, from an office in Sector 28-A, Chandigarh. It has digitised tens of millions of pages from institutions such as the Punjab Languages Department, the SGPC and state archives, and has made much of the collection freely available online since 2009.
