    What they do

URMUL Trust grew out of the URMUL Dairy cooperative movement in the arid Bikaner region and was established by IAS officer Sanjoy Ghose to serve underprivileged rural communities, especially women and children, in western Rajasthan. It works on rural health, education, drought-proofing and livelihoods across desert districts of Rajasthan, and its work spawned a network of affiliated Urmul trusts covering Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer districts.
