What they do
Barli Development Institute trains rural and tribal women, mostly brought in for multi-month residential courses, in vocational skills, literacy, health education, organic agriculture and solar technology at its campus in Indore. The institute's goal is to help participants return to their villages with skills and confidence to support their households and communities. It has operated since 1985 under the current Executive Director, Tahera Jadhav.
