What they do
Enabling Women of Kamand (EWOK) is a rural women's entrepreneurship initiative incubated by IIT Mandi in Salgi village, Mandi district. Started informally in April 2016 and formally registered as a society under the Himachal Pradesh Societies Registration Act in November 2019, it trains rural women in business, language and computer skills and helps them build farmer producer organisations. It has incubated more than a dozen women-led startups and created employment for over 60 rural women across villages in Mandi district.
