    What they do

Jagori Rural Charitable Trust is a feminist rural development organisation based in Sidhbari, Kangra district, co-founded by Kamla Bhasin and Abha Bhaiya in 2002. It works with marginalised rural women through seven nari adalats, or women's courts, staffed by local women trained as nyaya sakhis to support survivors of violence. It also runs body-literacy and sex-education sessions across almost 60 schools and village collectives in the district. The trust's work addresses gender, caste and economic justice issues in a rural Himalayan context.
