Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Trust is a charitable trust founded in 1972 by Abdul Khaliq Tak Zainagiri to provide parental care and support to children who have lost their parents. It runs orphanages, educational sponsorships, vocational craft centres, medical assistance and disaster management programmes through roughly 80 units across the Kashmir valley, Jammu division and Ladakh. It describes itself as the oldest charitable trust of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir and is funded through public donations, including Zakat and Sadaqah.
