    What they do

Kerala Sasthra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) is a people's science movement founded in 1962 to promote scientific temper, literacy and rational thinking in Kerala, originally as a forum of science writers publishing popular science literature in Malayalam. It has grown into a mass-membership organisation with about 60,000 members organised into roughly 2,300 local units across the state, working on science popularisation, literacy campaigns and development advocacy. KSSP received the Right Livelihood Award in 1996 for its model of development rooted in social justice and popular participation.
