What they do
MARI (Modern Architects for Rural India) is a rural development NGO founded in 1989 by a team of young social work professionals including R. Murali, its longtime Executive Director. It runs community-driven programmes in more than 230 villages across Warangal district, covering sustainable agriculture including a Better Cotton initiative with farmers, water, sanitation and hygiene infrastructure, healthcare, and livelihood support for marginalised rural communities. Its head office is in the Tarnaka area of Hyderabad, though its work and origins are centred on Warangal district.
