What they do
Mrida runs a residential school and sports and technology programmes for tribal children in the Narmada Valley in Mandla district, including its Riverside Natural School and Narmada Valley Football Academy. Its own account dates the work to 2012, when founder Priya Nadkarni saw gaps in schooling and high rates of anaemia among tribal youth while working with PRADAN's grassroots programme in Mandla. It was set up formally as Mrida Education and Welfare Society in 2016, with its registered address in Jabalpur, and it holds 12A and 80G tax exemptions.
