What they do
The Naga Mothers' Association is a civil society organisation of Naga women founded in Kohima in 1984 to address alcoholism and drug addiction among Naga youth. It has since become known for peacebuilding efforts between armed Naga factions and the government, HIV and AIDS awareness campaigns, and advocacy for women's political representation in Nagaland. The organisation has run a drug de-addiction and rehabilitation programme in collaboration with the Kripa Foundation. It received the Times of India Social Impact Award for lifetime contribution in 2013.
