    What they do

    Prajwala is a Hyderabad-area anti-trafficking organisation founded in 1996 by Sunitha Krishnan and Brother Jose Vetticatil to rehabilitate women and children evicted from a Hyderabad red-light district. It works across prevention, rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration and policy advocacy against sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation, running transition centres and vocational training units for survivors. It reports having rescued more than 9,500 trafficking victims and runs the survivor network Aparajita. It operates pan-India, with its registered campus at Mankhal village, Maheshwaram mandal, Rangareddy district.
