What they do
Roshni is a Hyderabad based mental health trust started on 4 December 1997 by a group of friends concerned about rising suicide rates in the city, to run a free, volunteer-staffed emotional-support helpline. It has since added the Roshini Counselling Centre, offering psychiatry, clinical psychology and career counselling, plus free mental health camps and a recreation centre for senior citizens. It is registered as a trust and holds tax-exempt status under Section 80G.
