    What they do

Sambhavna Trust Clinic provides free modern and traditional (Ayurvedic) medical care, along with research and documentation, for survivors of the 1984 Bhopal gas disaster and for people affected by subsequent groundwater contamination near the former Union Carbide plant. The trust was formed by a group of doctors, scientists, writers and social workers, and the clinic opened on 2 September 1996. It has registered tens of thousands of survivors for long-term care and is funded mainly by individual donations and book royalties rather than corporate or government funding.
