What they do
Sangath is a mental health research and service delivery NGO founded in Goa by Vikram Patel and local colleagues, registered as a society in 1996. It designs and evaluates low-cost, community-based psychosocial interventions for conditions across the lifespan, trains health workers to deliver them, and works on child development, adolescent mental health and addiction. Starting from Goa, it has since opened hubs in Bhopal, New Delhi, Chandigarh and Pune, and reports serving over 250,000 people a year through its programmes.
