    What they do

    Sanjhi Sikhiya is a non-profit co-founded in 2018 by Simranpreet Singh Oberoi and based in Mohali, working to improve learning outcomes in Punjab's government schools. Its flagship Punjab Youth Leadership Programme is a two-year fellowship that places young leaders inside government schools to support teachers and students. The organisation works with the Punjab Education Department across the districts of Patiala, Mohali, Bathinda, Rupnagar and Fatehgarh Sahib. It is one of four non-profits in the Punjab Education Collective, which won the Schwab Foundation's Collective Social Innovation Award in 2023.
