What they do
Siruthuli is an environmental trust set up in Coimbatore in June 2003 by a group of local corporate houses, including Bannari Amman Group, Pricol, LMW and ELGi, to address water scarcity and environmental degradation. Its Managing Trustee, Vanitha Mohan, has led work on rejuvenating the Noyyal river and city lakes, rainwater harvesting, borewell recharge, afforestation and organic-waste composting. It also runs farmer-support and public-awareness programmes and organises Coimbatore's annual tree-planting drives.
