What they do
The Society for Welfare of the Handicapped is a society registered on 24 July 1967 by S. Amar Singh Kamboj, based in village Saifdipur near Patiala. It runs the Patiala School for the Deaf, the Patiala School for the Blind, and a school for deafblind children with multiple disabilities. Together these give free residential special education to roughly two hundred children who come from across India, alongside early intervention for deaf infants, introduced in 2020, and vocational training.
