Vidya Sagar (formerly The Spastics Society of India, Chennai chapter) was founded in 1985 by Poonam Natarajan, a special educator and mother of a child with a disability. It provides early intervention, schooling to class 10, vocational training, supported employment and community-based rehabilitation for children and adults with disabilities. It also trains special-education teachers and advocates for disability rights and inclusive education. The organisation is based in Kotturpuram, Chennai.
